It's Been Fun!

It really really has.

Best. Calling. Ever.

I was released today,  just before our Children's Sacrament Meeting Presentation began.

And then, the children sang better than I have ever heard them sing before. Awesome.

I have had a few requests for a 2012 Primary Music Schedule. Instead, I have created a generic sort of schedule:

The first page of the document is completely generic. Print of as many of this page as you need for the whole year, then fill in the Months, Monthly Themes, Dates, and all the songs.

Or, you can print the 12 additional pages that have the Month header already included, as well as the Prelude, Welcome, Birthday, Wiggle songs already filled in:
For months that have a 5th Sunday you will want to print an extra of either of the forms to add on an extra week.

I hope you will forgive any typos or inconsistencies. Also, if you have Microsoft Office Publisher (the program I used to create the schedule) and you would like to have my template so you can re-arrange it the way you want it, email me at bridgettepatterson@gmail.com and I will send you the editable Publisher file. After all, I'm still here. :)

Thanks to all of you for sharing so much love.
Have Fun!

  10. Thank you so much for being a "light and a beacon" to me, and I'm sure I'm safe to say, many other choristers. You have been a source of inspiration for me and my little primary. When I was called a year and a half ago I knew nothing about music, leading, etc... Your blog has been a lifesaver!!! Your flip charts are absolutely GORGEOUS! I'm so sad to see you move on. :( I add my please... Please leave your blog up so me and others can glean from your awesome stuff! Thank you from the bottom of my lil' heart! <3

  11. You are all so wonderfully kind! Thank you very much.

I actually get to go to SS and RS this Sunday. No new calling! I think I am going to have to hold somebody's baby so I'll be entertained, as sitting so still may cause me to drop off. Eeek.

No worries, I'll leave the blog up as long as there is interest.

    Love,
    Bridgette

  12. I will miss you! You have the best flipcharts in the deep blue sea! Thank you for saving me hours of time and frustration. People at church always say how much they love the visuals I use in primary. I tell them my, unbeknownst to her, BFF in music cyberspace made them. Thanks a BUNCH!

  15. I've very much enjoyed your blog to get ideas. I was primary chorister back in 2001, way before blogs and I'm not sure how I did it! It has to be against our religion to have so much fun in this calling, I think I have more fun than the kids. Thank you for all your ideas and suggestions! I look forward to finding new ideas reading older posts.

  20. I've been out of town for a few weeks to come back and see this.NOOOOOOOOOO! They can't take you away from us! I can't tell you how many weeks you saved me from hours of preparation. When I get compliments on how great singing time is, I tell them it's not me, it's this great blog. I actually thought I was being released also and was very sad, this really is the best calling. I know you will totally rock as cub master, you will love all the monthly themes they have. You will be missed very much, I know I'll still have you bookmarked and refer back. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the help you have been in my calling!

  21. This makes me sad! I am getting sustained this Sunday to be our ward's primary chorister. I was directed to your blog as a source of awesome information.... and now you won't have this calling anymore. :(

At least you spelled everything out in your year(s) of doing this blog :) I can't wait to use all these awesome ideas!
