The Lord Gave Me a Temple

 Hi All!
Here's my flip chart for August's song:
Open the pdf and print it on both sides of 9 sheets white card stock. Laminate, trim, and bind on the left side.
When finished it will look something like this:

  1. As a busy mother of four young children I always appreciate being able to use your flipcharts. They have helped me so much in my preparation for singing time and the kids absolutely love the pictures you choose. Thank you so much for sharing all of your great ideas. Your blog is my favorite place to look for great singing time ideas. Keep up the great ideas. You are super talented!

  3. I wanted to point out one small typo in the first verse. It should say "Once in Heaven I was spirit"... (not "was A spirit")

  4. Once again you have saved the day! I recently lost all my clipart from my computer, and since my source (Sugardoodle) was asked to remove theirs from their site I am at a loss! Your flip chart saved me much frustration and time. BTW, where do you get your beautiful clipart? I can tell that you have some mad photoshop skills. You are awesome!

  6. Hi Sara Whilhelm and Smithclan, thank you both for your kind words. Glad to share!

    Hey Peggy!
I know, right? It was so nice to use Melanie's clip art resources at sugardoodle.net. I used to search her catalog to find an image, then go to the reference and copy the original media. Now the process takes a little longer. I do a search on lds.org for a subject, such as "my body is a temple", and I tell it to search The Friend or Manuals. I look at the article (usually download the PDF) to see if there is any clip art I like. When I find what I want, I save the image. I do use Photoshop, but "mad skills"....eh...I get by. LOL

  7. I had already spent quite some time putting together my own flipchart several weeks ago and left it for some subs who are filling in for me the next few weeks. But I'm throwing all that out the window because your flipchart ROCKS! This is totally what I would have done if I had the skills. Thanks for sharing your time and talents!!! And I can't thank you enough for the rest of your blog, too...my primary kids have been saved from many a boring Sunday because of you.

  9. I just have to ditto what everyone else is saying. I received my calling a little over a year ago. You have been my go to for flip charts. They are absolutely beautiful. What I love most about them is the spirit that comes through with the beautiful way they are put together. You can just feel the spirit as you teach the song coming through with the pictures. It has made my job so much easier. I don't have any musical background nor am I talented in putting together this type of stuff. In truth I have questioned why they called me. I love singing, I love the kids, I love teaching and I love my Heavenly Father.(Maybe that's why) I add my sincere thanks and gratitude for the time and effort you put forth on this blog. Thank You. You rock!!!

  10. Thank you for being willing to share your ideas and creations! I just received this calling about a month or so ago and I'm getting into the swing of things, but still nervous every Sunday! How to introduce the songs? Do start of with the flip charts? Thanks!

  11. Thanks for your inspiration... I have used TONS of your ideas, and I've only been a chorister for a few months.

For a quick and inexpensive way to bind flip charts, check out my blog at www.primarilysinging.blogspot.com.

  12. Ah, thank you SO much for a great flipchart! This song is new to most of the children, and new to me--the new chorister. (I'm more comfortable behind the piano, so this is a whole new thing). Thanks for your help with your creative pictures and gospel art pics as well. You saved me!!
